Bentley expands its driver-focused S model lineup with the introduction of the new Flying Spur S, delivering enhanced dynamic performance, a striking visual presence, and enriched audio drama to elevate the experience of Bentley’s flagship four-door sedan. This marks the first time Bentley’s historic S badge has been applied to a hybrid vehicle, representing another milestone in the brand’s Beyond100 vision for a sustainable future.
Bentley Flying Spur has long been praised for enabling an engaging driving experience without compromising passenger comfort. As with the launch of Continental GT S and Continental GT S Convertible, the new Flying Spur S models emphasize driving pleasure—but now with an added choice of propulsion systems: a 4.0-liter V8 engine or a V6 hybrid powertrain.
Each of the two propulsion systems delivers a rewarding sports-oriented driving experience through complementary engineering principles, ensuring smooth, effortless performance—hallmarks consistently associated with Bentley.
The V8 variant of the Flying Spur S is powered by Bentley’s advanced 4.0-liter V8 engine, generating 550 PS of power and 770 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in just 4.0 seconds and reaches a top speed of 198 mph—where legally permitted. Standard features include Bentley Dynamic Ride, capable of generating up to 1,300 Nm of anti-roll torque within 0.3 seconds to maintain stability during sharp cornering, while providing a serene and quiet ride at lower speeds through axle-specific wheel isolation. All-wheel steering with electronic control is also standard. At low speeds, the system steers the rear wheels in the opposite direction to the front wheels by up to 4.2 degrees, reducing turning radius and enhancing agility and maneuverability.
For city dwellers or environmentally conscious drivers, the Flying Spur S is also available with a hybrid powertrain combining a 2.9-liter petrol V6 engine with a high-performance electric motor, producing a combined output of 536 horsepower (544 PS) and 750 Nm (553 lb-ft) of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in 4.1 seconds—about one-tenth of a second faster than the V8 model. The car can travel up to 26 miles (41 km) on pure electric power, with CO₂ emissions as low as 75 grams per kilometer (WLTP test procedure). Thus, the Flying Spur Hybrid S is currently Bentley’s most efficient model ever.
Drivers who appreciate the sound signature of a high-performance powertrain will find the V8 version equipped with a reengineered sports exhaust system, while the Flying Spur Hybrid S emits a distinctive, character-rich tone when driven in Sport mode.
The black accents across the S models create a sporty yet refined appearance regardless of the chosen exterior color. For Bentley’s design team in Crewe, the absence of polished chrome elements directs attention toward the car’s lower, wider stance—capturing the true essence of Bentley’s sporting identity.
The S lineup introduces a completely new 22-inch wheel option with a five-arm Y-shaped design in high-gloss black, or optionally finished in the new Pale Brodgar Satin finish. Additionally, there is a unique 21-inch three-arm wheel design combining high-gloss black with precisely polished surfaces—exclusive to the S family.
The interior cabin of the Flying Spur S allows customers to unleash their creativity through a bespoke dual-tone color scheme centered on performance, handcrafted with exceptional precision in Bentley’s leather workshop in Crewe. Soft leather and Dinamica fabric with a subtle weave are used throughout, including on the heated steering wheel, gear lever, seat cushions, and headrests. Premium leather covers the seat bolsters and door inserts, as well as the instrument panel and center console area.
The S-design seats feature quilted detailing as an option. The S badge is embroidered on each headrest, and Bentley wing motifs are included at no extra cost.
