Guests from clients and media across the Arabian Peninsula were given a unique opportunity to experience the W16 Mistral, a masterpiece of timeless elegance and enduring sophistication, up close during the unveiling event held at the luxurious Waldorf Astoria hotel in Dubai. This vehicle is a vital chapter in the brand’s legacy, especially with the recent return of the iconic W16 engine that has defined Bugatti vehicles since the Veron model debuted in 2005. The W16 Mistral is now displayed at Bugatti’s UAE showroom operated by Al Habtoor Motors, underscoring Dubai’s strategic importance to Bugatti. Al Habtoor Motors has represented Bugatti for sales and service since 2006 and was awarded the title of "Bugatti Excellence in Service Partner" in 2013.
Commenting on the occasion, Costas Psarides, Regional Director of Bugatti for the Middle East and Asia, said: "The Arabian Peninsula remains one of our core markets, accounting for approximately a quarter of all Chiron orders. The UAE hosts the world’s largest fleet of Bugatti Verons, with over 50 units registered in the country. The enthusiasm and passion for high-performance supercars in the region—especially for our flagship roadster, the W16 Mistral—are truly exceptional."
During its stay in the UAE, the W16 Mistral visited the headquarters of Environment Group in Sharjah, home to an iconic structure designed by the late renowned architect Zaha Hadid to resemble sand dunes. Environment Group is a pioneer in sustainability across the Middle East, and its headquarters serves as a model for future offices—engineered to be among the smartest and most sustainable buildings in the world. The dune-inspired architecture shares a vision with the elegant and purposeful design of the W16 Mistral.
Engineered with meticulous attention to aerodynamic and thermal performance, the world’s fastest roadster from Bugatti achieves unmatched speeds while preserving its timeless aesthetic. For example, the front lights feature a complex three-dimensional surface acting as an aerodynamic aid, channeling airflow through the light and out via the wheel arch to enhance grip. This reflects Bugatti’s long-standing philosophy: "Form follows performance."
The W16 Mistral is powered by a specially tuned W16 engine delivering 1,600 horsepower, offering performance unlike any other open-top vehicle. The car stands out through its advanced design and engineering—its single-piece cabin not only features a clean silhouette achieved by eliminating A-pillars for the new convertible look, but has also been re-engineered to create a more refined side profile without compromising performance.
Only 99 units of the W16 Mistral will be produced, priced at €5 million net, with deliveries beginning in 2024. All production units have already been sold.
