The new MINI car family continues to define its identity, as the British automaker unveils the Aceman concept car at its world premiere, introducing a completely new design language and numerous technological innovations that will lay the foundation for future generations of this brand, for the first time in its history.
The Aceman concept features a striking icy green body color—a shimmering turquoise shade—with the traditional British metallic green used as a contrasting accent on the roof. To enhance visual harmony, a darker green is applied along the lower edge of the body. Accents in blue and pink-orange reflect the vehicle’s vibrant character.
The Aceman concept comes with four doors and a large rear hatch, accommodating five passengers inside. It maintains the proportions expected from this premium brand: an exterior length of 4.05 meters, a width of 1.99 meters, and a height of 1.59 meters. The distinctive wheel arches, 20-inch wheels, bold roof rail, and front and rear underbody panels designed for protection all highlight the ideal traits of a crossover model offering exceptional urban driving pleasure.
Inside, the Aceman concept showcases a minimalist design with clean lines and meticulously crafted details. The instrument panel spans the full width of the cabin, forming a perfect platform for the central display, which makes its debut as a fully circular OLED screen. The traditional control interface has been redesigned both in overall layout and functionality. Additionally, the interior is crafted using simple door panels and a flexible central console extending backward, creating a visually engaging contrast of colors.
The emotional connection between the Aceman concept and its users is strengthened through a seamless digital experience and intuitive user interaction. As the driver approaches the vehicle, Mini Companion—an animated light projection powered by sensors—gives a welcoming greeting with dynamic light and sound effects, continuing into the cabin after the doors open.
The production-ready infotainment and control system for this model is based on the latest generation of the MINI operating system, developed from an open-source Android software package. Display functionality extends beyond the central interface. Animated projections can transfer control content across the entire dashboard, delivering a unique digital experience that reaches the door panels as well.
Moreover, the Aceman concept introduces new driving experience modes, offering additional personalization options. Users can display selected images on the central instrument cluster in Personal mode. The "Pop-up" mode allows for an enriched travel experience filled with surprises. In "Vivid" mode, the OLED display area and surrounding zones activate diverse interactions when stopping at traffic lights or during high-voltage battery charging.
