MG Motor returned this year to one of the most prominent international automotive events with an impressive showcase of its high-performance electric vehicles. During the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the UK-based brand unveiled three new models to the world for the first time: the highly anticipated Cyberster roadster, the distinctive EX4 prototype, and the completely new MG4 EV XPOWER.
Both the two-seater Cyberster and the MG4 EV XPOWER, renowned for their thrilling acceleration, drew widespread attention on the iconic Goodwood hill. The Cyberster, inspired by the brand’s rich heritage, features a bold design that blends modern aesthetics with unique elements reflecting MG’s storied legacy as a manufacturer of open-top sports cars offering dynamic driving experiences. Its performance capabilities were highlighted during its appearance at the festival. Meanwhile, the MG4 EV XPOWER, delivering 435 horsepower (PS) and up to 600 newton-meters of torque, utilizes an innovative dual-motor layout to send power to all four wheels, enabling powerful launches from zero.
MG also revealed a third high-performance vehicle: the EX4 prototype, boldly reimagining the legendary 1980s Metro 6R4 rally car, now equipped with MG4 XPower’s advanced electric powertrain. Developed specifically for the Goodwood Festival by MG’s London design team, the EX4 celebrates the 40th anniversary of the iconic Metro 6R4, known for its striking and eye-catching colors.
