Lexus Unveils Completely New LX600 Model

Updated 05:11 AM,Oct 14,2021

Lexus has announced the global debut of its new LX model in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, marking the second vehicle in the brand's new generation lineup after the NX.

Since its founding in 1989, Lexus has remained committed to innovation, continuously striving to deliver cutting-edge technology and exceptional value to its customers. Since its launch in 1996, the LX has enjoyed widespread acclaim as Lexus’s flagship luxury SUV, renowned for its high quality, comfortable and high-performance driving experience, and ability to handle all types of terrain and road conditions worldwide. Lexus continues to uphold these high standards by enhancing the core principles of the LX—reliability, durability, and superior off-road performance. By the end of August 2021, LX vehicles had achieved cumulative sales of approximately 500,000 units across more than 50 countries and regions globally.

The new LX is specifically designed to deliver the highest levels of comfort and enrich experiences across various lifestyles. It retains the fundamental structure of the model to ensure top-tier reliability, durability, and on-road and off-road performance, while modernizing key features through the adoption of the new GA-F engineering platform, which reduces the vehicle’s weight by about 200 kilograms and builds a reinforced body structure developed using the latest digital technologies. The new LX is available with a 3.5-liter V6 gasoline engine featuring high torque and a twin-turbocharger system, along with an Electronic Brake Control (ECB) system and an Electric Power Steering (EPS) system to provide customers with Lexus’s signature unique driving experience on both paved and rough terrain. These innovations, combined with two new engine variants, improve environmental performance, reduce annual carbon dioxide emissions by 20% on a global cumulative basis compared to the previous model, and contribute to building a carbon-neutral society. To further enhance safety and comfort during off-road driving, the vehicle features a first-of-its-kind dual-display instrument panel from Lexus, consisting of a 12.3-inch upper screen and a 7-inch lower display, along with a ground-view rear camera system that displays the area beneath the rear section of the car. The new LX models come in exclusive variants, including a VIP class tailored for high-profile individuals, featuring four independent seats to ensure the safest and most comfortable ride across all road types; and an F Sport version offering dynamic driving experiences on paved roads. The car’s design reflects a strong commitment to blending elegant aesthetics with outstanding performance—a vision introduced with the NX—and achieving perfect harmony through the fusion of craftsmanship, strength, and commanding presence befitting a leading luxury SUV. Additional advanced features include Lexus’s first fingerprint authentication start button, which helps reduce theft risks.
