Land Rover Classic has launched a limited series of 25 exclusive exploration journeys inspired by the classic Defender Works V8 Trophi II, celebrating its global legacy in off-road adventure and exploration.
The vehicle is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 petrol engine delivering 405 horsepower and 515 Newton meters of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic ZF transmission. Each model undergoes a comprehensive restoration featuring enhanced suspension, improved steering, and upgraded brakes. The lineup includes the 90 and 110 station wagon variants, alongside the first-ever double-cab pickup version of the Trophi model. In this production run of just 25 vehicles, five are exclusively available as double-cab pickups, while the remaining 20 are evenly divided between the 90 and 110 station wagon models.
The exterior design features a distinctive two-tone finish in white and black, with a unique camouflage pattern developed by Land Rover's Special Vehicles design team. The main body is finished in Fuji White, contrasted with a Narvik Black roof, complemented by glossy black exterior elements—including trim, vents, and fasteners—down to the smallest details. 18-inch matte black sawtooth-style alloy wheels complete the bold aesthetic.
This signature camouflage pays tribute to 23 historic off-road expeditions undertaken by Land Rover over 70 years, ranging from legendary desert challenges to modern adventures across regions from South Africa and Laos to Peru.
Enhancements to the exterior ensure unmatched performance across all terrains. The front bumper includes a custom-designed front-mounted winch integrated into the grille. The hood features a satin finish to reduce glare under bright conditions, while a full-width 1.27-meter LED light bar provides exceptional visibility in all off-road environments at night.
The Classic Defender Works V8 Trophi II can wade through water up to 500 millimeters deep. A rear recovery point is finished with a rock slider and protective bar for added structural protection. A rear ladder enables access to the roof during expeditions, and subtle details include the Land Rover Cup logo and white emblem accents on the mud flaps.
Inside, the car features Recaro sport seats upholstered in high-quality Windsor leather in black and white, with contrasting stitching that balances support and comfort. Premium leather extends across the dashboard, doors, and roof lining, ensuring a handcrafted, cohesive interior finish throughout.
The modern Land Rover Classic infotainment system includes built-in navigation, smartphone connectivity, and the latest multimedia options, seamlessly integrated into the original dashboard. The smooth six-speed Land Rover gearbox complements the ZF automatic transmission for enhanced control.
At the heart of the interior lies a specially designed Land Rover Trophi clock by Elliot Brown, whose unique face mirrors the vehicle’s camouflaged exterior. Owners also receive a second exclusive Elliot Brown Competitor’s watch. Additionally, Elliot Brown is releasing 1,000 timepieces inspired by the Land Rover Classic Defender Works V8 Trophi II for those who missed out on the limited production run.
New models—the 90, 110, and double-cab 110—are now available for purchase through Land Rover Classic, starting at £225,000 for the 90 model in the UK.
