After three years of establishing itself as one of the most sought-after and award-winning three-row SUVs in the United States, the Kia Telluride returns with a suite of enhancements building on the success of its original model. Not only did the Telluride attract over 75% of buyers who were new to the Kia family, but its high customer satisfaction has also led to the strongest brand loyalty among midsize SUV owners—many of whom return to purchase another Kia when upgrading. The powerful, spacious Telluride is more ready than ever for any adventure, from cross-country family road trips to off-road explorations.
The crossover that swept up the "triple crown" of automotive awards and recently earned JD Power’s latest Best Resale Value honor now features fresh design elements inside and out, along with an expanded lineup of advanced driver-assistance safety technologies for greater peace of mind and driver confidence. With a cabin leading its class in comfort and space, the Telluride arrives in two entirely new trims: X-Line and X-Pro. These variants bring a tougher, more adventurous character, equipped with features and capabilities that empower the Telluride to venture beyond paved roads and into untamed natural landscapes.
From day one, the Telluride has stood out as a bold and distinctive presence. Maintaining its sharp, modern silhouette, the model has undergone a refined exterior redesign to deliver a more rugged and polished look for the new model year.
The all-new Telluride introduces two upgraded trims—X-Line and X-Pro—for Kia owners who occasionally seek to break away from the beaten path. Both trims come standard with all-wheel drive and feature exclusive upgrades and enhancements tailored to the vehicle’s dynamic edge. As shown below, the X-Pro builds upon the X-Line platform. Additionally, the X-Line replaces the previous Nightfall trim.
As the new Telluride continues to deliver a confident, inspiring driving experience for both driver and passengers, core mechanical components remain nearly unchanged, preserving the vehicle’s exceptional performance and handling:
3.8-liter V6 GDI engine producing 291 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 262 lb-ft of torque at 5,200 rpm
8-speed automatic transmission
Four-wheel independent suspension
Unit-body structure composed of 59.4% high-strength advanced steel
Self-leveling rear suspension system automatically adjusts ride height based on vehicle load for improved control and stability
Standard towing capacity reaches 5,000 lbs (5,500 lbs for X-Pro models)
Digital key: Allows customers to use compatible iPhone, Apple Watch, and Samsung Galaxy smartphones as virtual keys for locking, unlocking, and starting the vehicle. These digital keys can also be shared with friends and family via text messages on supported devices
Additionally, the vehicle is packed with safety and security features that we’ll explore firsthand during our upcoming test drive.
