Kia Middle East and Africa announced the official launch of its completely new Kia K3 compact sedan at the Riyadh Motor Show 2023 in Saudi Arabia. As a leading provider of sustainable mobility solutions, Kia will showcase seven of the most popular and distinctive vehicle models currently on the market—EV6, EV9, K8 HEV, K5 HEV, Seltos, and Sportage—between December 5 and 9, 2023.
The Riyadh Motor Show serves as a global platform for Kia to present its latest technological advancements and innovations in automotive engineering, further reinforcing the company’s commitment to its slogan, “Inspiring Movement.” The Kia K3 is expected to make a significant impact in the compact sedan segment, representing a legacy of quality and setting new benchmarks in design, technology, performance, and interior space.
The Kia K3 comes equipped with an advanced suite of driver assistance and safety systems (ADAS), clearly demonstrating Kia’s ongoing dedication to protecting drivers, passengers, and pedestrians.
This includes Forward Collision Avoidance Assist (FCA) for added protection against potential front-end collisions, Blind Spot Collision Avoidance Assist (BCA) to detect and warn of vehicles or objects in blind spots, Safe Exit Warning (SEW) that alerts occupants when a vehicle approaches from behind during door opening, High Beam Assist (HBA) to enhance visibility, and Rear View Monitor (RVM), a black screen display for safer reversing.
Additionally, the Kia K3 features a front and rear parking distance warning system that emits audible alerts when obstacles are detected during maneuvering, helping ensure safety during parking maneuvers.
The newly redesigned Kia K3 combines modernity, enjoyment, and comfort through a seamless blend of elegance and functionality. It surpasses other vehicles in its class by integrating a panoramic infotainment display that connects the digital instrument cluster with the central infotainment screen, along with a sleek new steering wheel and a contemporary dashboard.
To deliver advanced connectivity despite its compact size, the K3 features a 4.2-inch digital instrument panel display and a 10.25-inch touch-enabled infotainment screen made of a single glass surface stretching from the driver’s side to the center console. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard features.
Unlike conventional designs found in most compact sedans, the K3 embodies Kia’s new design philosophy, “Opposites United,” one of five core elements underpinning Kia’s “Sensuous Sportiness” design language. This gives the K3 a high-tech, bold, and powerful aesthetic. The exterior design features sharp lines, unique shapes, distinctive colors, and unconventional textures. Notably, the K3 heralds a new era of automobiles, offering a sharply styled fastback silhouette, an aggressive front grille, sharp design cues, and a unique LED DRL lighting pattern. It harmoniously blends technology and nature to create a striking presence on the road or wherever it’s parked.
If the K3 appears familiar, it’s because it retains the signature “Tiger Nose” grille surrounding the headlights with a more refined contour. The compact K3 also features an elegant fastback design, evident in its sloping roofline that offers a distinct evolution, complemented by a full-width rear light bar.
