The Kia EV6 GT has been recognized by TIME Magazine as one of the Best Inventions of 2023 in the Transportation category. This honor is part of a curated list compiled over more than two decades, featuring 200 exceptional innovations—ranging from new products to groundbreaking ideas—selected by TIME editors for their ability to create a positive transformation in our lives.

Candidates for the list are identified through submissions gathered globally by TIME editors and correspondents via an online application process, with special attention given to fields such as artificial intelligence, green energy, and sustainability. Each nominee is evaluated based on key criteria including originality, effectiveness, ambition, and impact.
A TIME editor remarked: "The result is a list of 200 innovative inventions—with 50 standing out for exceptional merit—including the world’s most powerful computer, a recreational space redefining industry standards, and a new concept that demonstrates the potential to transform how we live, work, play, and imagine what’s possible."
Earlier this year, the Kia EV6 GT received the Global Performance Award for Premium Vehicle of the Year 2023. With an impressive 576 horsepower, a 0-60 mph acceleration time of just 3.4 seconds, and a top speed of 161 mph, the car’s long-range capability, spacious interior, and sleek all-electric design have set it apart in fierce competition against traditional gasoline-powered sports cars.
