Hyundai Motor Middle East & Africa has unveiled the seventh generation of its flagship sedan, Azera, in the Middle Eastern markets.
The all-new Azera remains true to its legacy of exceptional quality and luxury since its introduction in 1986. The new model features bold lines, advanced technologies, and innovative features that deliver superior performance and exceptional passenger comfort.
The all-new Azera measures 5,035 mm in length—45 mm longer than its predecessor. With a wheelbase extended by 10 mm and a rear overhang increased by 50 mm, the vehicle embraces its new dimensions with elegance, offering a more spacious interior cabin.
The car’s low profile, rearward-sloping C-pillars, and dynamic design elements create a distinctive and sporty look. From sleek front headlights to refined taillights, the all-new Azera showcases smooth side body panels and elegant styling. In particular, the frameless door and automatic door handle enhance the vehicle’s modern appearance. The signature daytime running lights and horizontal lighting signature extend across the front fascia, giving a bold impression of arrival.
Inside, the all-new Azera features a spacious, luxurious interior with intuitive technology and innovative details. Designed with a minimalist approach focused on driver-centric environment, responsive technology, and user comfort, it delivers a sense of openness and enhanced relaxation. The flowing architectural design flows seamlessly from the dashboard.
Color-changing ambient lighting integrated into the airbag trim creates different moods for various scenarios—such as ignition, driving modes, and voice recognition—deepening the connection between driver and vehicle. The center console features a stunning 12.3-inch display with integrated navigation, positioned comfortably above a fully touch-controlled 10.25-inch climate control unit, delivering a high-tech visual and tactile experience.
The all-new interior design draws inspiration from natural forms and traditional Korean patterns, while embracing eco-friendly materials such as bamboo-based paints and plant-dyed leather, replacing conventional manufacturing processes.
The all-new Azera offers two engine options with improved powertrain systems and advanced safety features. The 3.5-liter GDi engine delivers a maximum output of 300 horsepower and peak torque of 36.6 kg·m. The 1.6-liter turbocharged gasoline hybrid engine produces 180 horsepower and maximum torque of 27.0 kg·m.
The all-new Azera’s hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) system incorporates an E-Motion motor, featuring E-Comfort Drive for smoother driving and E-Dynamic Drive for stable, responsive acceleration and cornering performance.
The all-new Azera is the first model to adopt Hyundai’s Connected Cockpit (ccNC), the brand’s new infotainment and connectivity system, marking a new era in smart mobility. This advanced cockpit integrates navigation, media control, and a heads-up display (HUD) into a seamless graphical user interface. The sedan also features an enhanced audio experience. The premium Bose sound system, combined with the specially tuned ‘Sound True’ algorithm, elevates lower-quality media files like MP3s to high-fidelity audio, while Bose’s Center Point 360 surround technology delivers an immersive in-car sound experience.
The all-new Azera also includes numerous modern safety and convenience features, some with potential health benefits. Seats and frequently touched surfaces are made from antimicrobial-treated materials.
The new model comes equipped with Hyundai SmartSense, which includes advanced safety features such as Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist 1.5 (FCA1.5), Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist (RCCA), Blind Spot View Monitor (BVM), and Safe Exit Assist (SEA). These technologies help reduce driver fatigue and enhance driving comfort. The Smart Parking Assist allows drivers to exit and enter parking spaces effortlessly. Additionally, when reversing, the Azera automatically activates reverse guidance lighting to signal its intended path to other vehicles and pedestrians.
