Hyundai Motor unveiled its innovative approach and vision centered on delivering high-performance vehicles that provide an enjoyable and sustainable driving experience for motorists, coinciding with the launch of new N models across the Middle East and Africa region.
During the event, the company highlighted the groundbreaking philosophy behind the N performance brand, emphasizing its commitment to advancing electronic control systems and offering insights into future initiatives for sports cars, positioning them as the foundation for innovation in the new N lineup.
The N vehicles were developed to meet Hyundai’s strategic goals of combining powerful performance with the highest standards of driving pleasure and practicality. Leveraging advanced technologies inspired by motorsport, N models deliver an exhilarating driving experience grounded in three core pillars: race-track performance flexibility and efficiency, sporty driving characteristics suitable for daily use, and competitive capabilities in racing events.
Recently, Hyundai introduced the Veloster N, Kona N, Elantra N, and Sonata N in Saudi Arabia, and announced plans to expand N model availability across other countries in the Middle East and Africa, with a total of three new N models set to be added to the production line in 2022.
Since its launch in 2015, the N series has become a benchmark for high-performance vehicles that merge powerful output, engine efficiency, and cutting-edge technology—meeting the demands of drivers seeking top-tier performance.
At the event, attention was drawn to the N DCT transmission, Hyundai’s enhanced version of the eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox, which has been precisely calibrated for the N vehicle lineup to ensure rapid gear shifts and activate exclusive driving features.
All N models feature sporty exteriors, upgraded engines, and track-tuned suspension and exhaust systems. The N Line variants further distinguish themselves with sporty exterior styling and interior designs inspired by the letter 'N', setting them apart from base models.
Notably, the N brand was conceived at Hyundai’s Namyang Research and Development Center in Korea. The name 'N' draws inspiration from the famous curves of the Nürburgring racetrack in Germany, serving as the official emblem for the performance-oriented brand.
