In honor of International Women's Day, Jeep Middle East collaborated with Now TV to launch a documentary series titled "From the Source," which tells the stories of women who own multiple Jeep vehicles. The series is set to premiere on March 8, 2022.
The documentary features four women from different nationalities and diverse backgrounds, all of whom drive Jeeps. "From the Source" highlights their adventurous journeys and what these Jeeps mean to them personally.
The series is hosted by Cristina Gieda Laliakata, Head of Communications and Marketing for Jeep at Stellantis Middle East. She explains that Jeep has long been a brand celebrated for its diversity, representing freedom, authenticity, passion, and adventure for over 80 years. No matter who you are—whether you prefer paved roads or rugged terrain—you’re certain to find a Jeep SUV that fits your lifestyle perfectly.
Commenting on the launch, Cristina said: "Jeep empowers women to enjoy life’s greatest adventures, whether on daily commutes or weekend escapes. Every woman has her own kind of adventure—sometimes it’s climbing mountains or exploring deserts, but often it’s simply discovering new cityscapes or sharing meaningful moments with friends. Through this series, we wanted the world to see some of these personal journeys as told by these remarkable women—and the Jeeps that make them possible."
The four featured women are:
Fatima Al-Suwaidi, an Emirati woman passionate about her Jeep Wrangler. Fatima defied traditional social expectations about what a woman’s car should be when she chose to buy a Wrangler.
Ivona Derin, originally from Poland, runs a video blog called MissionsOffroad, dedicated to off-road driving and wilderness exploration across the UAE and beyond. Her adventures in her Jeep Wrangler have helped build her confidence and strengthen her sense of self.
Krima Thompson, a wife and mother of three, also enjoys off-roading and desert exploration. Her story proves that a love for adventure and owning a Jeep isn’t limited to single women.
Zoë Shiraki, a Japanese-born woman, is part of a close-knit community connected through her Jeep. She participates in weekly group drives and teaches other women how to navigate sand dunes using her classic Jeep Cherokee.
