Ford has announced the launch of the next-generation Ford Ranger Raptor, the fastest mid-size pickup truck in the world. The Ranger Raptor delivers a powerful blend of raw strength, mechanical precision, and cutting-edge technology, thanks to its most intelligent control systems yet, ensuring it remains the ultimate pickup for off-road enthusiasts across the region.
The new Ranger Raptor comes equipped with a wide array of off-road-specific features designed to meet every adventure seeker’s needs. Built to dominate desert terrain, this mid-size pickup raises the bar for performance and competition within its class.
Superior capability begins with the new Raptor’s bold, aggressive design, featuring increased ground clearance and improved approach angles. This enhances driver control, confidence, and overall performance on rough terrain—delivering an unmatched off-road experience in the Raptor lineup.
At the heart of the new generation’s performance is the powerful EcoBoost V6 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged engine, producing up to 292 kilowatts (392 horsepower) at 5,650 rpm and 583 Newton-meters of torque at 3,500 rpm. Paired with a transmission finely tuned by Ford Performance, this powertrain delivers exceptional acceleration and performance that meets even the most demanding off-road vehicle requirements.
The new engine is mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission programmed with a race-mode anti-lag system in the "Baja" driving mode—an essential element in the new Raptor’s dominance across all terrains, enabling enhanced acceleration under any driving condition.
Given the size and power of this truck, it demands a suspension system built to handle extreme obstacles—and the new Ranger Raptor is no exception. Developed and fine-tuned by Ford Performance, the suspension features 2.5-inch internal bypass Fox shocks and Live Valve technology, which offers highly responsive damping that adapts to terrain and driving style up to 500 times per second. These shock absorbers represent the most advanced iteration ever seen on the Raptor, incorporating Teflon oil that reduces friction by 50% compared to previous models.
Manufactured by FOX, the Raptor’s components were engineered and tested using a combination of computer-aided design and real-world testing. Every detail was refined—from spring tuning and ride height adjustments to valve calibration and interior design enhancements—creating a perfect balance between comfort, control, stability, and traction across both high and low speeds on challenging off-road surfaces.
Drivers can choose from seven selectable driving modes: Normal, Sport, Off-Road, Rock, Sand, Mud/Snow, and the dedicated Baja mode for extreme off-road conditions. A simple turn of the drive mode dial adjusts multiple systems—including traction, steering, and suspension—for an optimal driving experience whether climbing dunes or cruising on highways.
