During the first day of the Arab Travel Market 2023, the General Command of Dubai Police and Nabooda Automotive Company unveiled the electric Audi RS e-tron GT, showcasing it at the Dubai International Convention Centre. The police force presented 12 services and initiatives tailored for tourists and visitors, aiming to enrich their experience across the emirate.
The unveiling ceremony was attended by Major General Jamal Salem Al-Jalaf, Director General of Investigations and Criminal Investigation, Mr. Juma Al-Nabooda, Assistant Managing Director and Board Member of Khalifa Juma Al-Nabooda Group, Colonel Harib Al-Shamsi, Assistant Director General for Administration Affairs, Colonel Khalafan Al-Jalaf, Director of Tourism Police, Rana Qayyum, Marketing Manager at Nabooda Automotive, and Gaurav Moudgil, National Sales Manager.
Major General Jamal Salem Al-Jalaf emphasized that Dubai Police, under the guidance of His Highness Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al-Murri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, is committed to enhancing its tourism patrol fleet with the latest luxury models. These vehicles strengthen the visible presence of tourism police, serve as a bridge between law enforcement and visitors, and promote public safety. He highlighted that the electric Audi RS e-tron GT supports national and global sustainability goals, reinforcing Dubai’s continued mission to inspire the world and showcase its cultural advancement.
Colonel Khalafan Al-Jalaf, Director of Tourism Police, noted that this marks the second fully electric, eco-friendly vehicle introduced into Dubai Police’s premium patrol fleet. He affirmed that these high-end patrol units enhance security presence in tourist areas, especially during events and community initiatives, while actively assisting travelers and the general public by answering inquiries and providing essential information, ensuring a sense of safety throughout their stay in Dubai.
The electric Audi RS e-tron GT features a 800-volt lithium-ion battery integrated into its flat underbody structure, delivering exceptional performance during both charging and driving. With regenerative braking technology, the vehicle achieves a range of up to 472 kilometers according to international lightweight vehicle standards, with a top speed of 330 km/h. Charging from 5% to 80% takes just 22.5 minutes.
The RS Design Package adds distinctive visual appeal inside the cabin. The red version features contrasting red stitching, creating a bold and eye-catching look. The gray variant emphasizes elegance and progressive interior design through high-quality materials and subtle gray steel threadwork, resulting in a modern and sophisticated ambiance. Together, both versions of the RS Design Package bring unique and striking character to the vehicle’s interior.
