His Highness Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al-Murri, Chief of Police of Dubai, announced in collaboration with W Motors the integration of 400 smart Ghayath patrol vehicles over the next five years, valued at 196 million AED, into the General Command's patrol fleet.
This announcement was made during the unveiling of the second-generation Ghayath patrol vehicle by His Highness, in partnership with W Motors, the designer of this advanced vehicle, and CitySafe Group, as part of the Global Police Summit held at the Dubai Exhibition Centre during Expo 2020 Dubai, marking the addition of 10 smart Ghayath patrol units to Dubai Police’s fleet.
His Highness emphasized that the smart Ghayath patrol vehicles represent some of the most advanced security vehicles in the world and are the first vehicles produced entirely in the UAE by the company. He praised the constructive partnership and cooperation between Dubai Police and W Motors, which led to the development of this innovative vehicle and strengthened Dubai Police’s patrol capabilities.
He added, “The Ghayath patrol vehicles meet our operational needs and enable us to maintain leadership in global standards for security patrols. Our shared vision with W Motors focuses on continuously keeping pace with the latest advancements in mobility, and we look forward to using these vehicles to ensure the highest levels of public safety across Dubai.”
He also noted that the Ghayath patrol vehicle is part of a broader mobile security solutions program being developed jointly by Dubai Police and W Motors. The fleet is expected to expand soon to include more advanced vehicles, technologies, intelligent systems, and new mobility capabilities such as drones, rapid response vehicles, rescue cars, electric vehicles, and e-bikes.
Ralph Debbas, Founder and CEO of W Motors, commented: “We are proud to deliver the first 10 smart Ghayath patrol vehicles to Dubai Police. This milestone is significant for W Motors and the UAE automotive sector, opening the door to local production of leading-edge, high-tech vehicles.
