Updated 03:07 PM,Mar 16,2022

Ford has unveiled the next-generation Ford Everest globally today. The new model blends adventure-ready capability, exceptional comfort, and advanced technologies designed to meet the needs of customers seeking durable, enjoyable SUVs.

The upcoming Everest is crafted to excite adventure enthusiasts, with superior performance at the heart of its design. Inside, it offers outstanding craftsmanship, creating a serene sanctuary for up to seven passengers, while cutting-edge technology and industry-leading safety features make every journey unique and exceptional.

To deliver these benefits, Ford introduces three trims of the new Everest: the Sport, Titanium+, and the new Platinum flagship. A range of trims and models will be available to suit customer needs across different markets, with full details to follow as the product launches worldwide.

Spaciousness and openness are enhanced through a full-width instrument panel and a central control console featuring cup holders with cutouts, along with pop-up, dashboard-mounted cup holders for front-seat passengers. Luxury trims include integrated wireless charging, a leather-wrapped electronic transmission shifter, and electric parking brake. Depending on the trim, new models offer heated and ventilated seats, plus 10-way power-adjustable driver and 8-way passenger seats with memory settings. Heated second-row seats are available by trim level.

Ford has also refined the interior design for greater precision and comfort, integrating the latest connectivity features and advanced technologies into the next-generation Everest. Depending on the model, the Everest comes equipped with either an 8-inch or 12.4-inch digital instrument cluster, replacing traditional analog gauges. Additionally, large, high-resolution touchscreens measuring 10.1 or 12 inches enhance the user experience.

The new Everest is powered by Ford’s latest SYNC® 4A system, enabling voice-activated control of communications, entertainment, and information services. A built-in modem allows owners to connect to their Everest via the FordPass™ app. FordPass enhances ownership by offering remote start, vehicle status checks, and remote lock/unlock capabilities through a smartphone.

The vertical-oriented display also integrates with a 360-degree camera system and a split-screen display, making parking effortless in tight urban spaces and assisting drivers in navigating challenging terrain during off-road adventures. Customers can also control the new exterior lighting system via the touchscreen or the FordPass app—ensuring you never need to park, work, camp, or perform any task in the dark.

The vehicle is powered by Ford’s 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 engine, one of three turbocharged engine options available at launch, depending on market availability.

While the new 3.0-liter turbo V6 leads the lineup, the next-generation Everest offers multiple engine choices tailored to diverse lifestyles. These include Ford’s single-turbo engine, a 2.0-liter four-cylinder twin-turbo engine, and the 2.3-liter EcoBoost gasoline engine. Automatic transmissions are available in six-speed or ten-speed SelectShift variants, depending on the trim.

For those preferring gasoline, the 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine delivers maximum torque across all segments. This proven and efficient engine, already trusted across Ford’s global product line, will be available on select Everest trims starting in 2023.

The two available four-wheel drive systems are: an electronically controlled transfer case with two-speed gearing, commonly known as part-time four-wheel drive, and an advanced, fully automatic four-wheel drive system using a two-speed electromechanical transfer case. This system is electronically managed and includes selectable driving modes.

The new Everest boasts a water wading depth of up to 800 mm and a maximum towing capacity of 3,500 kg (with brakes). The engine compartment provides space for an optional second battery to power aftermarket accessories.

With Active Park Assist 2.0 technology, the new Everest helps drivers navigate tight spaces safely with a single button press. The system handles steering, gear shifting, acceleration, and braking to effortlessly maneuver into parallel or perpendicular parking spots—and can even back out of a parallel park when needed.

Adaptive Cruise Control from Ford is a new addition to the Everest, available in three versions depending on market and trim level.
