The Mulliner division of Bentley will revive the iconic Speed Six through a new, extremely exclusive Continuation Series comprising just 12 cars. Each vehicle is meticulously crafted to authentically mirror the mechanical and aesthetic qualities of the original Bentley race cars that triumphed at Le Mans in 1929 and 1930.
These new cars are created as a tribute to the achievements of their historic predecessors. As Mulliner continues to develop and preserve its heritage craftsmanship, the new Speed Six Continuation Series becomes the second worldwide project of its kind for a pre-World War II model, following the successful Blower Continuation Series. Both projects were developed by Bentley Mulliner.
The Speed Six stands as Bentley’s most successful racing car from its era and one of the brand’s most significant models in history. It not only exemplifies Bentley’s global reputation for exceptional performance but also demonstrates the effectiveness of the grand touring concept—a high-speed, luxurious vehicle designed for long-distance travel with ease and comfort. This philosophy has guided every Bentley since.
The new series of 12 cars is being designed, developed, and hand-built by the same team of Mulliner specialists who created the Blower Continuation Series—the world’s first continuity project for a pre-war model. This distinguished series, based on the 4.5-liter engine of the 1929 Team Car #2—Bentley’s most famous and valuable car—was directly sold. The same approach applies to the new Speed Six Continuation Series, with all 12 vehicles already reserved by fortunate clients around the globe.
The Speed Six Continuation Series was unveiled at the Goodwood Festival of Speed by Adrian Hallmark, CEO and Chairman of Bentley, who stated: “After Mulliner’s team built immense expertise through developing the Blower Continuation Series and achieved strong customer success, reviving the Speed Six represents a natural next step. The Speed Six is among the most important models in our 103-year history. The 12 cars in this Continuation Series embody the same values as the original W.O. Bentley racers—crafted by hand with the same rigorous attention to engineering quality and detail.
