Bentley enhances its new focus on wellness across its diverse model lineup with the introduction of the Bentayga Extended Wheelbase — a new high-performance luxury SUV built on the strengths of the Bentayga, elevated to set a new benchmark in luxury and expand the latest product range to five models.
This is far more than just an extension; the Bentayga Extended Wheelbase represents a significant investment by Bentley, featuring a nine-digit cost, to create a vehicle that delivers the most exceptional rear cabin experience since the Mulsanne, while preserving the brand’s hallmark attributes: effortless performance, refined craftsmanship, and unlimited customization options.
The Bentayga Extended Wheelbase (EWB) is based on the latest second-generation Bentayga, extending the wheelbase by 180 mm — from 2995 mm to 3175 mm — resulting in a total length of 5322 mm. The entire additional length is concentrated at the rear door, creating an exceptionally luxurious rear cabin. With the largest interior space compared to any other luxury competitor, combined with a strong emphasis on wellness, it introduces the world’s first automated climate sensing system and an advanced seat positioning adjustment for the rear passengers, ensuring truly exceptional journeys.
Standard on this new model is a 4+1 seating configuration, featuring two side-rear seats offering exceptional comfort, adjustable in 16 positions, with heating, ventilation, and five individual massage programs. Additionally, a dedicated event seat accommodates a third adult passenger with ease.
The EWB features a more advanced embroidery design developed using digital craftsmanship. Diamonds appear to extend symmetrically from the center of the shoulder panels across the seatbacks and along the doors, visually echoing the car’s elongated form.
The new model includes four key exterior changes: a longer side profile, a redesigned front grille, new 22-inch polished ten-spoke wheels, and a repositioned sunroof opening. All maintain the aesthetic excellence established in the second-generation Bentayga.
For the first time in Bentley history, the car can be customized with electrically closing doors. Two buttons are located on the extended center console’s rear face, positioned conveniently within reach of rear passengers.
The newly introduced all-wheel steering, first seen in the Flying Spur, ensures no compromise in dynamic capabilities despite the longer wheelbase. In fact, the turning circle is 7% smaller than that of the standard Bentayga, measuring just 11.8 meters.
Standard on the new model is Bentley Dynamic Ride — an active anti-roll control system powered by 48 volts, originally introduced on the Bentayga as a groundbreaking global innovation — delivering the perfect balance between ultimate ride comfort, vehicle control, and structural stability.
The Bentayga EWB is equipped with Bentley’s renowned 4.0-liter V8 petrol engine, featuring 32 valves and twin-turbochargers, combining immense power with impressive fuel efficiency. Paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, this V8 engine delivers performance comparable to a supercar, generating 542 horsepower (550 PS) and 568 lb-ft (770 Nm) of torque, enabling a top speed of 180 mph (290 km/h) and accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds (0 to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds).
Two enhanced feature packages will be available at launch: the Azure package offers a timeless, elegant design with exclusive features focused on maximum comfort and wellness, ensuring smooth, effortless driving. The First Edition version elevates the vehicle further with Bentley Diamond Illumination lighting, metallic wood trim accents, the premium Naim for Bentley Audio system, and welcoming LED headlights, reinforcing the car’s status as a uniquely exclusive and distinctive model.
