Updated 03:38 AM,Feb 13,2024

Aston Martin, the British luxury car manufacturer, has unveiled three new vehicles in a first-of-its-kind move. This launch reflects the brand’s storied racing heritage and its commitment to integrating the latest motorsport technologies into its high-performance road-going models.

The Formula 1® Challenger AMR24 was revealed at the brand’s headquarters in Silverstone, alongside the Vantage—a flagship sports car that stands as the fastest, most cohesive, and driver-focused model in Aston Martin’s lineup. The Vantage’s legacy traces back to 1950, the year of the first Formula 1 race held at Silverstone, creating a symbolic connection between the iconic circuit and Aston Martin’s modern technological facility now located there.

The Vantage is engineered to meet the expectations of professional drivers, combining exceptional performance with advanced technology to deliver a driving experience full of confidence and exhilaration. It mirrors the high competitiveness of the new Challenger AMR24, designed to compete in the 2024 FIA Formula 1 World Championship. Together, these two models embody Aston Martin’s ambition to strengthen its leadership in high-performance technology, as the Aston Martin Aramco Formula 1 team continues the record-breaking success achieved in 2023—featuring nine podium finishes and 280 points through standout performances by Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll.

The brand also introduced the Vantage GT3, built to the highest standards to uphold its position at the pinnacle of the automotive world. This model will compete in major endurance races worldwide, including the 2024 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The Vantage GT3 features cutting-edge attributes from the latest production-based platform. Developed as an exceptional race car, it marks a new chapter in Aston Martin’s motorsport history, especially following the outstanding achievements of the Vantage GT2, which secured 52 class victories and 11 world titles between 2012 and 2023.

Commenting on the launch, Lawrence Stroll, CEO of Aston Martin’s Board of Directors, said: “These three vehicles embody the essence of our brand. Launching the Vantage and Vantage GT3 alongside the Challenger AMR24 in Silverstone underscores our ambition to lead in Formula 1 and to continue developing some of the world’s most luxurious high-performance sports cars.”

“This release highlights the seamless integration across our programs for road-legal and racing vehicles—made possible by Aston Martin Lagonda leveraging engineering talent and motorsport expertise from Aston Martin Performance Technologies, a key partner in Formula 1.”

“In recent years, our brand has achieved remarkable results thanks to our involvement in Formula 1, attracting new customers and inspiring a comprehensive product re-evaluation. The Formula 1 team maintains a high level of competitiveness, strengthening collaboration with our high-performance motorsport technology unit through a next-generation manufacturing strategy for both sports cars and endurance racing machines.”

The Aston Martin Aramco Formula 1® team kicks off the 2024 FIA Formula 1 World Championship season with participation in the Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix on March 2, 2024.
