Have you always dreamed of discovering new places and testing your driving skills on rugged terrain? With the next-generation Ford Ranger, you can now enjoy this adventure without any hassle.
From a reinforced frame and an advanced suspension system to driver-assistance technologies, the Ranger’s ability to carry heavy loads across the most challenging landscapes makes it perfect for weekend getaways and long journeys into nature.
The driver-assistance systems and safety features available across all models of the next-generation Ford Ranger include:
Ford Ranger is designed to be the ideal companion for long trips and family adventures. It features an adjustable cargo box that meets all your needs. With an additional 50 millimeters of width and over 1,200 liters of usable space, loading camping equipment and bulky items becomes much easier. The cargo box can be customized using DIY dividers that can be installed or removed as needed.
This integrated, sturdy side step connects directly to the Ranger’s chassis, making access to the cargo area safer and more convenient than ever—no more climbing onto slippery wheels or scaling over the rear door to reach the cargo space.
Six fixed anchor points are built into the truck bed lining, while the optional cargo rail system with spring-loaded fittings offers even more flexibility for securing your load. Wildtrak models come equipped with aluminum mounting brackets to make securing large or heavy cargo simpler.
In select markets, the Ranger offers an optional adjustable rack system, including a sliding cargo tray that smoothly moves along five preset positions within the bed. This system simplifies transporting long items when paired with foldable roof racks. For models without flexible racks, roof-mounted mounts allow easy installation of accessories such as racks or platforms.
An optional feature on the Ranger is the towing hitch, which can be added to the next-generation Ford Ranger to tow an additional trailer behind the vehicle. It can handle up to 3,500 kg effortlessly, regardless of engine type. This towing capability is supported by advanced driver-assistance technologies that enhance confidence and safety when checking and pulling trailers.
Choosing a campsite might be tricky, but getting there shouldn’t be. The Ranger’s specially tuned four-wheel drive systems and driving modes are designed to make your journey smoother, more efficient, and capable of handling tough road conditions.
Normal and economy driving modes deliver power and efficiency on paved roads, while mud, sand, and rock modes come into play when the pavement ends and real adventure begins. The dedicated Tow/Load mode is optimized for hauling heavy loads, improving gear shift timing to maintain energy efficiency and optimal torque control in off-road terrain, while also increasing steering wheel weight for better handling.
Pressing the Off-Road button on the center console displays key information on the large touchscreen display. The screen shows transmission settings and vehicle tilt angles. It also provides access to the 360-degree camera system, offering various views around the vehicle—including a front-facing view that reveals the path and terrain directly ahead of the front wheels.4
Compatible tools and electronic devices can be charged directly from the 12-volt power outlet located in the cargo area. This allows for easy connection of accessories like lights, winches, and radios.
Setting up camp at night or working around the Ranger after dark has become significantly easier thanks to the Ranger’s exclusive ambient lighting. Controlled via the touchscreen inside the vehicle, this feature illuminates the area around the truck and cargo box, helping owners locate their gear in the dark or pack up belongings at the end of an adventure.
