2024 Chevrolet Silverado HD delivers more power, improved cabin, and smarter tech

Updated 01:22 PM,Oct 3,2022

For 2024, Chevrolet’s Silverado HD delivers everything serious heavy-duty truck enthusiasts desire and need—without compromise on performance or comfort, tailored specifically for customers across the Middle East. The 2024 Silverado HD features enhanced powertrain systems, a more commanding presence, a completely redesigned and refined interior cabin, further advancements in revolutionary towing technologies, and significant upgrades to its infotainment system and active safety features.

The lineup includes 2500HD and 3500HD models available with standard, double, and full four-door cab configurations. Dual-rear-wheel variants are offered exclusively within the 3500HD range, capable of handling the highest towing capacity in the lineup—up to 16,329 kg. The 2024 Silverado HD is available in Work Truck, LT, and LTZ trims.

For the first time, the 10-speed Allison automatic transmission, proven for optimal efficiency, is now standard with the powertrain, which includes the 6.6-liter V-8 fuel engine. This replaces the previous six-speed automatic, offering shorter gear shifts that allow the engine to maintain peak power for longer durations.

It also features the legendary 6.0-liter V-8 engine, delivering 401 horsepower and 629 newton-meters of torque.

The 2024 Silverado HD boasts a bold, imposing presence, achieved through a comprehensive exterior redesign from front to rear. This includes a new front grille, updated headlights, and other modernized styling elements. The truck’s polished appearance blends timeless design with real-world readiness—both in look and function.

The new front fascia features sleek, C-shaped LED lighting inspired by the exclusive design language of the Silverado 1500 model. The bold new headlights on LTZ trims incorporate dual-beam reflector technology. The main and high beams are split into dual functions, while an elegant welcome/leave greeting feature activates automatically when the owner approaches or departs the vehicle.

Beyond exterior updates, all models receive a newly designed interior cabin engineered for greater operational readiness and seamless integration with next-generation technologies.

In this context, LT and LTZ trims offer dramatically reimagined passenger space centered around a fully redesigned instrument panel hosting a large, 13.4-inch infotainment display. This tilting screen is specifically tailored for the infotainment system. Complementing it is a customizable 12.3-inch driver information display, also tilted toward the driver, creating a cockpit-like environment that enhances focus and control. This design philosophy draws direct inspiration from the iconic, minimalist aesthetic of the S/K Series trucks from the 1970s and 1980s.

The Silverado HD is engineered to make driving more enjoyable, equipped with intuitive new infotainment technologies and an expanded suite of driver-assistance features.

The 2024 Chevrolet Silverado HD will make its public debut at the Texas Auto Show, starting with a dedicated press day on September 29. It will be on display throughout the public exhibition period. Production begins in the first half of 2023 at General Motors’ Flint assembly plant in Michigan, USA, and the Oshawa plant in Canada. More details on pricing and specifications will be released as production approaches.
